Ideally situated in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne forest, Le Capdeville municipal campsite enjoys a privileged geographical location in Carcans, a small, dynamic commune in the Gironde. The campsite is just 3 km from Carcans-Maubuisson and the shores of Lac de Carcans-Hourtin (France's largest natural lake), and around 13 km from the waves of the Atlantic Ocean at Carcans-Plage, making it an ideal base for exploring the Côte d'Argent and the Médoc vineyards. For the safety and clarity of information for your customers, please note that the campsite does not have a swimming pool within its facilities; instead, holidaymakers enjoy the immediate proximity of the fine sandy beaches of Lac de Carcans, with its calm, shallow waters, perfect for young children to swim in.
In terms of leisure and physical activities, this human-scale campsite focuses on the tranquillity and authenticity of nature, with simple but friendly facilities including a petanque area, table tennis tables and an outdoor play area for children. True to its calm, relaxing, family atmosphere, the resort does not offer scheduled entertainment, noisy evenings or an on-site kids' club. However, the resort of Carcans and the Bombannes estate (in the immediate vicinity) provide a huge outdoor playground: your guests will find direct access to the cycle paths of the Vélodyssée network, surfing schools, canoe-kayak, paddle and sailing hire, as well as an accrobranche (tree climbing) course.
To guarantee a comfortable, self-sufficient stay, the campsite offers functional facilities, both on its traditional shaded camping pitches and in its rental accommodation (mobile homes).
