The campsite prioritises peace and quiet during the low season.
During the summer holidays, from 5 July to 27 August, things pick up a gear with a dynamic entertainment team on hand to offer activities for all ages and tastes.
Sports enthusiasts can take part in regularly scheduled tournaments: archery, pétanque, volleyball or football. The water sports and fitness activities are also sure to get your muscles moving!
In the evenings, there’s a night market once a week (July and August only), dance evenings, themed nights or karaoke, dinner shows, bingo and film nights. In the height of summer (July and August only), two night-time swimming sessions are organised each week.
Kids’ Club (ages 5 to 12): open from 5 July to 27 August, 5 days a week: A wide range of games and craft activities with an eco-friendly focus, designed to raise children’s awareness from a very young age, such as exploring local flora and fauna, or creative workshops using wood and recycled materials… Children will enjoy sports activities and putting on shows – guaranteed to create lasting holiday memories! For the very youngest, parent-and-child activities are organised in the afternoons, including face painting and treasure hunts.
Teen Club (ages 13 to 17): Open in summer, from 5 July to 27 August only. Teenagers can make new friends at one of the organised evening events, a swimming session or even a sports tournament!
And let’s not forget the many summer events in Arès and the surrounding area: evening shows, night markets, fireworks, sports tournaments… the reception desk can provide you with information on these events.

There are plenty of activities available on site to suit everyone’s tastes: a boules court in the shade of the pine trees for lively games of pétanque with friends, a multi-sports pitch for ball game enthusiasts, table tennis tables (equipment available to borrow) and even outdoor fitness equipment. Children are well catered for with a bouncy castle, a playground and the chance to go on pony rides when the weather is fine (at an extra cost).
The campsite is the ideal base from which to explore the region, with walking trails and cycle paths nearby.

Arès oyster port (3 km or 7 mins): To get to know a region, you have to start with its cuisine! Take the time to stop off at one of the huts in the Arès oyster harbour to stock up on sea-fresh delicacies: oysters, whelks and other shellfish à la carte. All accompanied by a small glass of white wine to keep with tradition! On Thursday evenings in summer, you’ll find local artists exhibiting their work there.

The Prés Salés Nature Reserve (8 km or 13 mins): A favourite spot with the locals of Arès, whether for a stroll or a jog for the more active, this 330-hectare nature reserve is home to no fewer than 250 plant species, 170 bird species and 11 fish species. And let’s not forget the local stars: the European otter, European pond turtles and other lizards scurrying through the grass.

Saint-Brice Nature Reserve (3 km or 9 mins): Forming a natural boundary between the towns of Arès and Andernos-les-Bains, this haven of nature is sure to delight walkers. Allow 1½ hours for a walk to enjoy the variety of its landscapes: ponds, coastal paths and forests.

The Arcachon Basin: Classified as a marine nature reserve, the Arcachon Basin promises new discoveries and a complete change of scenery. Explore it by bike or by boat alongside the many fishermen and oyster farmers who’ll introduce you to their trade. Continue your excursion to the Dune du Pyla, Europe’s largest dune, to enjoy a beautiful sunset – thrills guaranteed at the very top!

Île aux Oiseaux: What could be more mysterious and magical than Île aux Oiseaux? With its legendary stilted huts and the multitude of migratory birds that live there, it will enchant you with its magic and the friendliness of its locals. And as Pascal Obispo sang, you’re sure to ‘fall for her (Île aux Oiseaux)’.

The Cap Ferret Lighthouse (13 km or 20 mins): A 6 km walk along the ocean dunes, the lighthouse stands at the tip of the cape; built in 1947 and standing 53 metres tall, it watches over the peninsula, bordered on one side by the ocean and on the other by the Arcachon Basin.

Bordeaux (60 km): A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, Bordeaux will charm you with its exceptional 18th-century architectural heritage, featuring 363 listed monuments, gardens, illuminated squares and quays… an absolutely magnificent city.

Saint-Émilion (100 km): Tucked away amongst the vineyards of the Bordeaux region, discover this incredible medieval town brimming with hidden treasures. Relax on one of the terraces in the main square whilst enjoying a grand cru accompanied by macarons!
