The Ranch style site shows promise, but the actual service and general lack of care falls short of usual French Site

This is probably one of the worst french camp sites ive ever stayed on. Its not awful, just not the usual standard of French camping. The restaurant didnt have any menus, more of themed nights, they often had ran out of food unless you had booked the themed night, including ice creams. We went to the... bar for a drink and despite posters showing Fries, bar food, Ice cream etc they had ran out and service was poor. The beer took ages to be served and like it was an effort, and the fries we re-fried, and no ice creams. This was Mid August! The Pool is very dirty by usual standards, with people being allowed to be in well after 9pm, never saw anyone testing water, and water in the morning at one point was still cloudy with flies in it. The pools area itself if ok, usual crowds to be expected in peak season but with no one manning the pools. We were staying for 2 nights and expected a smaller pitch but the pitch size was so small and cramped that when we pulled out our canopy, chairs and table we were actually nearly walking on the tent next door, and the ones behind, we were crowded by 3 sides, no privacy what so ever unless you took into consideration the washing lines being strung from corner to corner - this actually gave us the privacy! The actual theme of the site (ranch style) the size, the showers and loos and the facility's do have promise, but the actual service and general lack of care unfortunately falls way short of normal standards expected in these parts.
