Visited for a week through Canvas Holidays in mid August 2021 (with wife and 9yo daughter). Stayed in a chalet which was lovely - with a/c and BBQ. Quite probably we were the only British there - never bumped into anyone else as presumably Covid rules too challenging. But felt it was a fabulous campsite... which has pretty much nailed the genre. Lovely part of France, loads to do - canoeing was fantastic - local prehistoric cave amazing but the gorgeous villages on the Ardeche river and swimming in said river were the best bit. Add in vineyards, lovely weather, nice food etc and it’s a fabulous part of France. As for the campsite I just felt it got almost everything right. 5 swimming pools, nice bar, quiet after 11, and generally a really nice friendly atmosphere. You can book the activities eg canoeing through a v friendly office on site (nice Belgian gent spoke great English). Personally although it was all in French (for obvious reasons) I found the evening show with the kids on site to be really inspiring - clearly the staff were dedicated and really made an effort to involve all the kids and it was great to watch. Couple of minor niggles - for checkin on a Saturday it was a bit chaotic and could have someone stationed at the entrance to direct the cars and explain the process. And although swimming pools were great it would be good to have more of a shallow end in the main pool as the pools transitioned from a small kids pool to a full scale grown up one. And maybe more choice of draught beer? Food was a bit uninspiring but we ate out mostly or cooked so no problem there. All in all a well run place and created an enjoyable holiday in tricky circumstances- would return.

The place is a factory. when we called the day before travelling to see if any of the promised activities were unavailable, they lied and said everything was happneing as normal, but upon arriving, there were none of the activities as listed on the wesbite and on the booking, but we were still charged... full price. In fact the only thing happening was dreadful music blaring until midnight every night. Lots of lovely places in the area to stay at, but AVOID THIS ONE!

We stayed here for 8 days in April. The camp was large and clean, with 5 outdoor pools and a restaurant though we didn’t use either. We stayed in a premium mobile home with three bedrooms and decking which was fabulous for sitting out in the hot sunny weather. It was clean and well-stocked.
The camp... is fairly close to two supermarkets - Super U and a Lidl both of which we shopped at. There’s a village nearby with tourist shops, as well as the natural sites to see like the Pont D’arc, the gorges, and the river.
This is a good place to stay at if you like outdoor activities like biking and hiking. There’s also multiple places to canoe if you like.

We stayed at the Chaussy for one week in August. We were initially a little disappointed with the mobiles as these were pretty basic and could have done with some updating. Particularly annoying was the lack of larger mugs and glasses as only expresso cups and shot glasses were supplied, so if you want... tea (i know the French don't!) or squash/juice bring your own or buy them at the supermarket as we did. there is also no kettle or scissors! When you arrive you are given an inventory to check and count every item in the home and you pay a 200 euro deposit. you are then given a barrier entry card. at the end of your stay you have to book an inspection appointment where your home is checked for lost items etc. and the lady we had was very efficient and friendly. Our home was a 3 bed mobile and had a decking with a small patio tables, chairs, a parasol and 2 loungers. We paid for the Comfort package which consisted of mattress protectors, pillow cases and sheets, towels and end of stay clean which I think was probably worth it for convenience sake.
all the resort staff were very friendly and helpful despite it being peak holiday time, particularly the reception staff who advised us on a nice local river to swim in. The pools were a little cool but there were plenty of sun beds with no rushing to reserve them at 7am for a change! Our kids ranged from 7 to 13 years and all were happy with the pools with shallow ones for the younger ones and slides and plunge pool for the teens.
There were aqua Zumba and Zumba classes every day and lists of sports clubs on offer. My husband did a free cycle session which involved a lot of mountain biking techniques with a friendly non English speaking instructor and he really enjoyed it. There were several clubs for different ages kids but we didn't use them.
We used e takeaway pizza place on site which was very good, generous sizes and all enjoyed. The on site restaurant is a set meal buffet style for 17 euros, 12 for kids (they can eat as much as the adults and get a free drink) you have a cold starter, a hot main or grilled meats and a dessert from a choice of home made cakes or ice cream not bad and the chefs are very friendly and will happily explain what is in each dish. They do very well considering they have to cook for the mass market, they also do a cheap nuggets and chips for I think 8 euros if kids won't eat the French food. One eve I had the paella which was very good and plentiful! Waitresses were extremely busy but did their best.
Evening entertainment was cabaret style songs and staff routines which we didn't really watch until the last night which was quite amusing and what they lack in budget they make up in enthusiasm!
We would come back here again because of the location, pools and friendly, lovely staff.
We did a kayaking day out which was good although still a bit rough for the little ones. We did the 8k ride thought the gorge de ardeche and although mainly calm and scenic my husband and daughter capsized down the rapids and had to be helped by seem friendly locals so was a little scary. I would definitely recommend the use of helmets as the currents are strong in places. Canyoning is also on offer but you will need wetsuits and trainers rather than beach shoes as we were told your ankles are at risk otherwise.

We stayed here in July 2013 - 2 adults and a 14 year old. due to a flight delay we turned up very late and the staff were very helpful with our late arrival. Although the staff on reception seemed a bit grumpy the day after! We statyed in the hotels which was quite basic, but clean and comfortable and... what we expected, and the service was good. It was nice to have a verandah and a fridy for cold drinks. The facilities were very good and of course part of a big campsite which looked nice (the mobile homes looked nice). the pool facilities were great, they were busy but it was late July, and in the evening it was quieter. We did't take part in any of the evening stuff but it looked good for small kids. The restaurant was really busy, so we just had pizza from the snack bar which was good or take a short drive to the nearby town to eat. We booked canoing from the acticities office, altohuogh I got the impression we mgiht have been better doing it direct with any of the canoe places along the road to Vallon Pont D'Arc, but it was fine. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.
