Great holiday

Having been very concerned reading the reviews myself before arriving, I wanted to leave some detailed comments of our stay.
I’d booked the site due to the pools, which were fantastic in themselves. The weather was 19-24C each day, and the indoor pool atmosphere never got too hot to bear (takes a... moment to acclimatise!) and the outdoor pools were always warm enough to use, even if not always for very long. The rapids were fantastic, and we all enjoyed them every day. There is no lifeguard at the rapids, so you have to decide when it’s safe to go and hope a heavier group down come down fast behind you! During our stay, the surface of the rapids have become damaged, leaving rough and sharper bits - the rapids were closed for 24hrs and reopened with the damage repaired. I would guess this has to happen regularly, as the surface had lots of other areas that were about to become too bad too. The indoor pool is nice and warm, not too busy in the mornings, with great slides. The lifeguards look in through the windows as it’s too hot for them inside. The groups of French teenagers can also be a bit wilder on the slides (though usually respectful), so again, always go down the slides following your younger children in case someone comes too close up behind them going down. The worst bit about the pool was that you could only access via one narrow point, having to walk through a cold foot bath to get to any of it, so even if you just wanted to lie on the loungers, you have to walk all the way around and squash through with everyone else. It would feel so much nicer if some of the other access gates were open so that you could wander more freely.
We booked with Eurocamp, and the man looking after us was very polite and helpful, seemed to be doing everything by himself, and doing a great job. The mobile home was clean, though not as well equipped as the inventory list on the Domaine D’Inly website (no BBQ, no loungers, no parasol), but had everything we needed. There is a mini cleaning pack, not a bad sized freezer (bigger than a freezer box, has two shelves), 4 ring gas hob, kettle, microwave, filter coffee machine, extractor. Always had hot water.
The bakery was great, though the shop isn’t well stocked - sparse, no freezer stuff. There are vans from midday onwards outside the shop selling different things each day, such as sausages, cheese, churros, sweets, jewellery, slushies. We didn’t use the bar/food areas so can’t comment on those. There were two bouncy castles in this area too, and a lot of table tennis tables, boules area, and a nice playground. No trampolines, which we’d been expecting from the website, but we did visit the Trampoforest - a few euros for half an hour on big bouncy nets 3 metres up in the trees, next to a mini ‘Go Ape’. Also enjoyed the mini golf.
The mini farm was very well looked after, but the horse riding wasn’t available because the horses had caught ringworm from the stray cats in the area. It was really disappointing that we hadn’t been told in advance that this was the case. A member of staff there was very helpful in giving us lots of advice and tips on the area.
The cycle ride to the beach is flat, though not ideal for less experienced/young riders, with lots of different surfaces, short bit of road, narrow bits. Free parking at Mine d’Or, height 1.9m.
Lovely trips to Vannes, Guerande, Batz-Sur-Mer and Le Croisic.
Overall, a great holiday, though as others have commented, it’s not quite worth its stars or price tag, but the staff are trying hard and the pools are great.
