There are some solid positives about this site but the pool really lets it down.

The play areas are good. We felt comfortable to let our 7 and 10 year old go off on their own, and the proliferation of English and Irish children meant they instantly made friends, which they loved. The kids club was great. There is a little farm which is great for smaller kids. The bar is good with... a nice ice cream bar etc. Water slides were also good for different ages. Contrary to other reviews our van was super and the Eurocamp team were helpful - came to check we had everything and popped back quickly with a couple of things we’d asked for. The location is also good - bike hire is cheap, loads of cycle paths, good beaches and you can easily get to some lovely local towns.
However, our main issue was the pool. It’s nowhere near as nice as the pictures - very run down, needs a new floor/tiles (it’s all coming away/cracked/bumpy, feels uncomfortable under foot as bits of the tarmac break away and stick to your feet), needs a clean and is too small for the number of guests in August. You could barely move in the pool and there’s are nowhere near enough sun beds or chairs. We haven’t had this experience at other French campsites. We wouldn’t consider coming back unless the pool has a refurb and is made bigger.
There were also less significant issues but worth being aware of:
- We felt the vans were tightly packed, the sideways pitches have little space beyond the decking.
- The main entertainment area (stage, big screen, outdoor seating) feels weirdly in the middle of a blocked off road, and it’s too small for the site so was rammed.
- As the site is next door to super-U there’s no shop, which was convenient but a bit sad, as the girls loved cycling off to get bread, milk etc in the mornings. They couldn’t do that here.
All these other things would be fine but the pool means we definitely won’t be back here.
