We had been a few years previously with a car, so this was our first time returning without a car. The upgrade is amazing, our kids are older, teenagers but absolutely had the most wonderful week at Le Domaine du Clarys Plage. We had the most wonderful chalet, down near the supermarket. The kids... really enjoyed all the facilities and the slides were fantastic. The pool area was super, not queuing or hanging around for sun loungers, plenty of chairs for all. The boys even participated in the teenage club, great fun. Supermarket was brilliant, we cooked some nights and ate in the takeaway other nights. Plenty of variety for all. The upgraded facilities really made the week magical for us, a thoroughly relaxing week. We walked to the beach on a few occasions. We dined in the restaurants neaby (outside the complex) which were good. The staff entertainment was excellent each night. The bar staff had improved, more efficient than previously. Check-in and check-out were very efficient. Our chalet was clean and we dressed all the beds on arrival. Staff, all very friendly and helpful, called a few times to see if we were ok, very impressive. We had a wonderfully relaxing week and we will definitely put it on our bucket list to return. We recommend your next summer holiday in Le Domain du Clarys.

We've stayed here 3 summers and would recommend it to anyone with kids. The water facilities are great with pools, slides and lots of fun for kids. We didn't use the quieter pool near the back of the site. Safe for kids cycling around but the area around the pool / bar / playground can be very busy... for little ones in the evening. The kids clubs and staff were good fun. French was the main language (it is France in fairness!) but the kids could follow what was happening and staff were happy to use English where possible. Sometimes the activities seemed a bit made up and didn't always follow the weekly plan for the kids clubs but again, the kids did enjoy them for the most part. We found the campsite staff from Reception to pool area, take-away, ice-cream counter, maintenance etc etc all to be very helpful. The Super U just outside the back entrance of the campsite was very useful and convenient. A couple of minor issues (which are far outweighed by our overall excellent experience) are that whatever material was used on as the base of the newly renovated swimming pool area is quite rough and abrasive, and 2 of us ended up with cut toes as a result of rubbing off the pool floor. The only other minor point for improvement would be to cut queueing time at the bar - you could be waiting 15 minutes to be served during the evening events such as shows / bingo / fun quizzes. Not big deal but if the kids wanted a drink during a break in the entertainment, a nightmare. The system of taking an order, paying & getting your drink could easily be improved without any extra staff! Overall, we would highly recommend the campsite however.

We spent 9 days at Le Domaine du Clarys towards the end of the 2025 high season for a family holiday and the camp site was great.
The Site
The camp site is very well located on the Atlantic coast. The site has a fairly small footprint with a lot of mobile homes backed close together compared to some... other sites we have stayed. The campsite was very busy when we were there but it didn’t feel too crowded around the homes themselves. The core of the campsite reception, bar, take away, entertainment area and aqua park are all together by the main entrance so never have to walk to far for most things. There is another area to the south of the site with playground, obstacle course, football pitches but that isn’t even more than 5 mins from the core. The site entrance is also only 600m from the beach so easy to walk down to it.
Mobile Home
For our holiday we rented a Premium mobile home with three bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins) with separate toilet and shower room. There is a table with a bench & 2 kitchen chairs with an additional 2 folding chairs. There is a galley kitchen that is really well equipped with a 4 gas burner hob, a 80/20 fridge/freezer, Microwave, toaster, Nespresso machine and coffee maker. Good set of pots and frying pans, salad bowls and cooking implements. The mobile home in theory can take 6 adults but that would be very cosy. We had 3 adults and two children which was fine but mainly because of the best feature of this particular mobile home, it’s a big covered deck with a table, BBQ and inbuilt corner couch. This is where we spent most of our waking time and ate all our meals. This particular mobile home, 414, was also really well located just across the road from reception which meant it was a 2-3 min walk from the core area and aqua park.
Aqua Park and Pool
The key attraction to the campsite is the Aqua Park. It contains a big lagoon pool, a baby pool with slides and a medium sized indoor pool. It also has three big water slide which are great fun for all the family. The lagoon pool is at its deepest is only 1.2m deep and has multiple entrances. Even though a very big pool at peak times it can be a bit like “people soup” so don’t think you are going to be going for long swims. It is really a glorified play pool for kids of all ages. The baby pool is only 30cm deep so very safe for smallies. The indoor pool can be opened the elements and is also only 1.2m deep and can get a bit crowded if the weather is any way inclement.
There are lots of sun loungers and chairs about the pool but be warned that sun longer “squatting” is very common. Lots of towels left on unoccupied loungers for hours at a time by people who have left the pool area. There wasn’t any real attempt by the staff to deal with this expect one morning when the pool area was fairly quiet when they instructed everyone to get out of the pool and go back to their sun loungers for a check. They went about and picked up a few towels on unoccupied ones but it was the one morning when there were lots of free ones anyway. .If you want to be sure of having sun loungers it is best to get to the Aqua Park when it opens at 10am or shortly afterwards. A couple of mornings there were people queuing to get in at 10 and 60-70% of beds were taken within a 10 minutes.
There is another small pool area about 5 mins walk from reception on the southwest side of the campsite with a medium sized pool and baby pool but no other facilities. We didn’t use it but it looked nice and quiet when we passed it.
Local Facilities
One of the great things about the campsite is it’s location. As already said it’s close to the beach but there is also a commercial area just beside it. There is the U express supermarket open 7 days a week (7.30am – 8pm) which has everything you could ever want. Good selection of food and drink along with anything you may need on holiday. Across from the supermarket is the boulangerie for all you bread and pastry needs. It also opens at 7.30 and expect a queue most morning but service is very fast. There is also a bunch of typical holiday shops and all the tat you could ever want. Beside them are bunch of restaurants open for lunch and dinner. The two we tried were good and in high season would be worth making a reservation for dinner as can get busy in the evening.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at Eurocamp Le Clarys Plage in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, and it truly exceeded our expectations.
The location is perfect — only a short stroll from beautiful, wide sandy beaches, ideal for both relaxing and family fun. On site, the facilities are outstanding.... The recently updated swimming complex with its brand-new pools and thrilling slides was a highlight for our children, while the ice cream parlour quickly became a daily favourite. The entertainment team kept the atmosphere lively with activities and shows that appealed to both kids and adults.
The site is also very well situated for exploring the surrounding area, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and activities within easy reach. For a memorable day trip, the spectacular Puy du Fou is just over an hour away — a unique experience and an absolute must if you’re in the area.
The only minor area for improvement is that the snack bar options are somewhat limited, but this didn’t detract from our overall experience.
Overall, Eurocamp Le Clarys Plage is a fantastic site offering a perfect mix of beachside relaxation, family-friendly fun, and access to local attractions. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to return.
