New owners since 2022, we are delighted to welcome you to l'Abri-Côtier campsite for pleasant family moments just 3 km from the ocean.

The L'Abri Côtier Flower Campsite is recognised by the national tourism institutions 'Qualité Tourisme' (Quality Tourism) and 'Accueil Vélo' (Bike Friendly) for its quality. The campsite is just 3 kilometres away from the beach and is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Charente-Maritime province. Guests will enjoy a relaxing family holiday close to the island of Oléron and 5 minutes from the famous Fort Boyard. Guests enjoy access to our indoor pool, heated from April to September and the children's pool, open in July and August.

The entertainment team organise activities every day except Saturdays in July and August for children aged 6 to 12 years old in the mornings, and for youths and adults in the afternoons. In the evenings guests are invited to enjoy cocktails, games and themed activities including: themed dinners, bingo evenings, dance and music evenings, concerts, karaoke evenings and much more.

In July and August guests can access a market selling local products every Tuesday. Guests also enjoy access to a small shop with basic products, fresh bread and pastries and a cafeteria-pizzeria.

The Good plans of the establishment

Cruises on the Ile d'Aix and around Fort Boyard, a visit to the citadel at Brouage or bike rides, there are so many sites to visit around l'Abri-Côtier!

The direction of the traffic has to be improved, even though I know it's not easy on a campsite. Otherwise clean accommodation, pleasant and smiling staff. I will return to this campsite.

Beach at Chatereillon (not sure about spelling!) south of La Rochelle is beautiful. Good beaches at Isle d'Oleron too. Good area to hire bikes from campsite as region is pretty flat. Nearest beach has a sea lido, which is good as the tide goes a long way out, a good mobile cafe and plenty of shade available...
