Fantastic Family Holiday - would love to go back to this place.

The village had everything you could hope for on a family holiday.
Beach:
Absolutely stunning beach, albeit a little narrow there was plenty room every day and we managed to get a bed every day. You need to reserve a bed at the cash desk and they will allocate you one. We made the mistake of just sitting... on beds assuming someone would come over but they don't, and if your bed has been reserved they remove your things and take them to the office. This is a good thing as it ensures booking is respected. It's just good to know so you are not having to move all of your things. There are plenty water sports on the beach to do, kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats with slides, you can get life jackets if you need them. We did have an issue as one of our sons broke an oar and we had to pay 50 euros. We were not informed of any damage policy prior to this do beware in case this happens. It was 70 euros for a lost oar. Lots of crabs to see on the rocks and the sea was lovely to swim in. There is a lovely beach bar with bean bags and comfy seating and lots of shaded areas if you need it, selling food, snacks and a good range of drinks. There was also an ice cream cart going up and down. There were lots of sales people trying to sell you things, but we just said no thank you, and it wasn't too bad. They did have some handy large blankets which we later wish we had bought on day one. Lifeguards patrolling constantly out in the water which was reassuring. Some lovely stone piers you could walk out on to. Beautiful.
Pools:
Aquapark:
Pool open all day with something for all ages. A couple of pools, and bigger slides for older kids, splash park with three little slides for little ones and lots of fun water sprays and guns to play with and run through. Lots of loungers, we managed to get some every day. Cost was 14 euros for the whole day, 9 euros for half a day for two beds with umbrella. Snack bar with a decent range of food and drinks, plus ice lollies. Only two toilets but very clean and modern. Staff were lovely and there was lifeguards on constantly making sure everyone was safe which was reassuring. There was a shallow pool for the little ones.
Tropical pool is down next to the beach and has a splash park again for little ones, not quite as good as the one at the Aquapark, there was two different slides which our kids (10 and 11) thought were great). One medium size pool. We could not get sun beds the two times we visited here but you could put your towels on the floor, or if your kids are older, you could sit in the beach bar which was right next to it. This pool closes 1pm until 3pm.
Pool with slides - name escapes me, but this was a deeper pool with some slides, it looks good but our kids did not enjoy it as they said the slides were small inside and the pool was too deep. My 10 year old is not a great swimmer so other kids may love it. This pool also closes 1pm until 3pm.
Sports:
Basketball Courts
Tennis Courts - 80 euros deposit for four raquets and balls, which you get back when you return. You can book the courts for an hour on the app.
Football Pitches
Bowling
Gym
Beach Volleyball
There were tournaments on every day although our children only joined in the football ones.
Facilities:
Restaurant, we ate in one of them which was very nice, good service, reasonably priced
Bar - we sat here a couple of nights, service was great, drinks are limited but there is enough
Large kids area with lots of large inflatables / bouncy castles and ball pools, 7 euros per child for the full night, for what they have in there it is worth the money It is right next to the bar which is handy if your kids are old enough to go in on there own
There was another restaurant but we did not go in there
Supermarket - a tad expensive but lots of variety - closes 12.30pm until 4pm
General shops, hairdressers, carousel, candy floss and sweets, train on the site for train ride with kids, shops selling beachwear and accessories and a bizarre selling all swimming accessories. Everything you need all in one place which is fab.
We took a trip out to Caorle for the day - there was a big market on as it was Saturday. The little church and Cathedral are worth a visit and the promenade is a lovely walk. Bus goes straight from the site and you can get tickets for 1.50 from the bizarre. It's a 20 minute bus ride to there, buses are easy to use and the Italian people are so lovely and helpful.
Evening Entertainment / Animation Team:
What can I say? Absolutely fantastic. They put on some great shows and every day they were so friendly and helpful. Some of the things we enjoyed were The Beach Party with excellent dancing by the sea, daily dances in the sea outside the Beach bar, Variety Show in the Theatre, Quiz, mini club dances for the little ones. SOme of the dancing they do is crazy for animation team but we really enjoyed it. My ten year old daughter particularly enjoyed the part dances.
Overall I would definitely recommend this place, such a great site with fantastic facilities, nothing to complain about at all. You need to be mindful of everything closing at 1pm until 3pm, this is quiet time on the site. But you can stay at the Beach or Aquapark or head back for lunch, it is not a problem once you know about it. I would recommend getting from the Information Point when you arrive a programme of the weeks animation team as we missed out on a couple of things because we didn't do that.
