Overpriced and under-maintained mobile homes

We had a disappointing experience with the mobile homes at the campsite. They were overpriced, old and under-maintained. Despite the campsite writing in black and white before we booked “the mobile homes are well maintained”, we encountered numerous problems from the moment of arrival. For a rate... of 225€ per night, we expected a much better experience.
We could not take a shower on arrival as they were both broken, once we had waitied for the maintenance team to re-buiild them it was 8pm and then we discovered there was no hot water, and there was sewage running at the entrance to our plot. The state of disrepair was evident with doors hanging off, leaks, and a malfunctioning AC unit.
Our complaints were met with poor customer service, as the management shifted the blame back to us, claiming we should have called the 24-hour maintenance man whom they did not inform us about!?!?. They also attempted to blame previous guests for not reporting the issues. These problems were clearly due to the mobile homes' age and the lack of investment in their maintenance and should not be a client's responsibility to report.
Overall, it was a highly frustrating and unsatisfactory experience, and we feel let down by the campsite's misrepresentation of the mobile homes' condition and the poor customer service we received.
There was no prior communication about the departure procedure, and when they were unable to charge my card, we were unfairly blamed for not paying, despite not receiving any payment request or contact before departure.
Throughout years of using various campsites, I have never encountered such a negative experience. Rather than understanding our perspective as customers, the management chose to lecture us about their 40 years of experience. All that was required to fix the situation was to take responsibility, apologise for failing to deliver the promised service and offer fair compensation. (Not just compensation for the problem with the AC and ignore the rest).
Had we paid a lower rate for basic facilities we would not have been as disappointed but the campsite was advertised as a 4-star facility with well-maintained mobiles. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
