The reception was friendly and helpful, and the people working in the snack bar were absolutely lovely - and very hard working! It's possible to order bread and croissants for the morning. Food in the snack bar is simple but really good.
Watching the sunsets sitting on the edge of the dune at the edge... of the site is a highlight. The pitches for tents and campervans (we were in a van) are quite wide but pretty close together back-to-back and so it's best to get one at the edge of that non-cabin part of the site if you can (we had a tent behind us and although they were quite considerate, they did like to watch action movies at 3am - albeit at low volume). Most of the site is given over to cabins - but it doesn't at all feel like "cabin city," as some more commercial ones do. There is some criticism of the facilities in other reviews, but we found them absolutely fine - clean and well-maintained.
The pool is fabulous and not at all busy in our experience (our stay was partly in high season). There were some children around but the site has a more adult feel than most, even during school holidays. Surfers and retired people account for most clients I imagine.
It's easy to walk or cycle to Soulac-sur-mer in one direction and Amelie in the other - where the wonderful restaurant L'etoile de Mer is not to be missed. There is a little shop there (Vival) with excellent bread and pastries, and a Lidl is in walking distance too - in the direction of Soulac.
Just up the road there is a fabulous beach bar - it's quite an experience to go there for a seafood selection and wine while the sun goes down.
We liked the spot so much we extended our stay twice, and we will certainly be back again.
There's no doubting the main selling point of this site - plum location right on the glorious sandy beach. Unfortunately it seems that little effort is made to make the camping itself attractive. Our cabane felt old (eg. shower that would never settle on a temperature) and in need of a deep clean. Our... little patch of grass had old dog excrement and there was litter throughout the site so it seems that no effort is made to keep the site tidy with the exception of the swimming pool which was decent albeit without parasols. Finally my deposit was only refunded when I reminded them 2 weeks later.

We chose the site based on its proximity to the beach, walk out of the site and you are directly on to the Amelie Beach. The camper sites are separated by hedges . The staff were very friendly and there was always a smile in the bar. The bar is a small site and may be more suited to adults. it is about... 10 minute cycle into Soulac and the market. The pool is appropriate to size of the campsite . It is apparent that there is significant capital investment in the site, there was a lot of upgrading of the shower/ toilet / washing facilities in progress while we were there.
There is no minimarket in the immediate vicinity.
We will be keeping the site on the list and it is a handy location for the Ferry across the Gironde.
We stayed 2 weeks at Les Sables d’Argent last week of June and 1st week in July, it was absolutely delightful, great location, friendly, fantastic beaches with easy access , the mobile home was clean and well equipped, Christine and Didier the owners are delightful, I highly recommend a stay to enjoy... the sea and long walks on the beach, Merci!

We stayed two weeks with a tent on a pitch of the camping. A few remarks, the cleaning from the toilet / wash building is good. The lighting during the night is not evereywhere good on the camping. Suggestion: include free wifi in the price of the rent of a home or a camping pitch. If there is free wifi... at the bar / cafe, then young kids and older people will come together and they will also order sometimes a drink or eat something. We have seen the same on other campings.
overall a good camping place, ideal close to the see.
