The welcome on arrival seemed a bit discriminatory; perhaps we should have brought a dog with us to be given a warmer welcome, or made it clear that we weren’t a couple but simply friends. On the other hand, the young person at reception on the day we left was very friendly.

We had a lovely weekend; the only downside was that the other holidaymakers didn’t look after the accommodation – neither did the cleaning staff – and the crockery needed a thorough clean, the electric coffee maker was rusty and needed binning, and the kettle hadn’t been descaled. Other than that, nothing else to say. We had to buy a coffee maker, which is a shame.

A superb swimming pool, though it could do with a more thorough clean, as could the area around it. A pleasant stay that I would recommend.

We were staying in an EcoLodge. These were crammed in very closely together, with a car parked right up next to ours and nowhere to park our car.
