Situated a few kilometres from Blois in the heart of the Loire Valley, camping La Grande Tortue is a strategic location for visiting the famous castles. You will enjoy, on the spot, a heated swimming pool, a paddling pool with playful games and pentaglides.

In July and August, the mini-club welcomes children for recreational and fun activities. The campsite's team offers sports tournaments during the day and theme evenings are organised on a regular basis.

On the service side, you will find a snack bar with take-away meals and pizza to eat on the terrace, as well as a grocery store with bread and pastries.

Great weekend with friends, just what we expected to be placed not far from each other (5 mobile homes) on a very pleasant campsite, I recommend it.

I liked it:
the calm in this period, the family atmosphere, the facilities very much appreciated by my 10 year old grandson (swimming pool, games...), the services (grocery shop, restaurant), the proximity of possible visits,

A campsite well situated for visiting the castles and the Beauval zoo. It deserves its 5 stars.
The positive points are the sanitary facilities, the swimming pool and the games.
The bedding and waste disposal is a weak point of many campsites.

Location excellent, loved the forest setting and shady pitches. Compact site everything within easy reach. Huge pitch private facilities were excellent. Pool layout was excellent for our toddler with a nice big pool too. Play area also fantastic. Things for improvement - maintenance around the pool...

We have visited this campsite 5 times between 2015 to 2022.
The first four visits were amazing, everything we could have asked for, and more.
Pefect food, entertainment, atmosphere and friendliness.
Our last visit in 2022 was a very big let down. Rude staff, food standards and service was very poor....

the location is great, the play areas for young childen wonderful , the reception were friendly but everything else disappointing. No heat, no tv, uncooked pastries, no working laundry services, closed sanitary block, and very tiny mobile homes. Clean but the 3 bedroom was uncomfortably tiny for 4 adults...

This summer holiday was our 3rd visit in 6 years and again we had a great stay.
We stayed in a Soleo which is comfortable for a family of four, with also the benefit of a private terrace in the evening. Also when it is raining you can still eat outside thanks to closing panels.

It was very good again, the temperature was high 30's, but the pool was cool, a little busy at times but always enjoyable. The kids play area has everything and all for free.
