This was my second time at this campsite and I was really disappointed with the pitch this time. You see, I have a disability and the mobile home we were allocated was right at the top, which made it very difficult for me to get about.

Mobile home No. 67 dates from 2008 and has seen better days. The bathroom is in a sorry state. The shower is dilapidated, the grouting is dirty, and the shower head doesn’t stay in place on the base. Intermittent hot water problems – either scalding hot or cold. The windows are not clean. The toilet curtain is torn. The mattresses are of average quality and the mattress protectors are either torn or too worn. The front door does not close properly.

There were organisational issues during the final week, which were not the fault of the resort manager but of the person running the restaurant and bar. There was a lack of entertainment during the final week, with several events being cancelled. The children’s mini-disco was very repetitive, with the same songs and dances every evening; perhaps it would have been better to mix things up and, for example, not have the campsite dance be exactly the same every night. I was a bit disappointed by all that, but otherwise the staff are friendly, the owner is very pleasant and, despite the difficulties encountered at the end of the season, the team managed to bounce back to provide holidaymakers with access to the bar and restaurant facilities.

The campsite is some distance from the town centre, but a shuttle bus is available. Access to the mobile homes is a bit tricky, and the car park is quite a way away. The campsite is set inland and has quite a few slopes.

Great location and site in general but seems to have lost the personal touch that Eurocamp had before when they had reps on site. Very poor accommodation

It’s a pity to give this only 1 star because the staff, pool and entertainment was really good. It was the standard of the mobile home which was dreadful,
