Home from home, under canvas!

We’ve been coming to this delightful campsite for many years, and were pleased to return this year (forgive the lateness of this review)...
You can be assured of a warm welcome. The campsite is favoured by many French campers (a good sign), but also other Europeans. We’re often the only folk from... England - which suits us fine. We travel there by public transport (taxis from the centre of Carnac, or nearby Aurey station aren’t expensive). There’s a shop selling essentials, fresh bread (to order the day before) every day, and a variety of hot food sellers in the evenings.
The pitches aren’t huge, but (even when we used to come by car) perfectly adequate unless you’ve brought a massive tent.
The whole campsite is spotlessly clean, run by a couple (and their family) who obviously take great pride in the place and believe in and practice good hospitality.
It’s not in the centre of Carnac, and is away from the beaches, but everything is close by - and you’re camping practically in the midst of the ancient megaliths (Carnac being the oldest place of continuous human habitation in Europe). There are plenty of places where you can hire bicycles - an ideal way of getting around, and to get to beaches inaccessible by car.
Thoroughly recommend this campsite - we’ll almost certainly return next year.
