Fantastic Family Campsite with Great Facilities and Easy Access to Venice

We had a lovely stay and spent four nights here.
Although the pool area was nice, we preferred spending our days at the beach, as the pools were quite crowded.
We took the ferry to Venice twice during our stay. The second time, we decided to stay overnight, and I highly recommend doing the same. Exploring... Venice in the evening and early in the morning is a completely different experience, with far fewer crowds and a much more relaxed atmosphere.
One thing to keep in mind is that taxis in Cavallino are quite expensive, and even if you’re willing to pay around €60 for a 7 km ride, it can still be difficult to find one because there often aren’t any available.
Fortunately, the hotel offers a bus service to the ferry port two or three times a week, departing right from the front of the hotel. On other days, you’ll need to walk about 20 minutes to the main road to catch the public bus. In the summer heat, this can be quite tiring, especially with small children, so I wouldn’t recommend relying on the public bus if you’re travelling with young kids. Bus tickets can be purchased at the campsite reception, which is very convenient.
The campsite also has an excellent supermarket. It was one of the best campsite grocery stores we have visited, with a great selection of fresh food and everything you might need during your stay.
There are also two restaurants on site. The Italian restaurant serves pizzas during the day and offers a larger menu in the evening. We found the food to be good. In general, we didn’t find the service in Italy to be as friendly as in some other countries we have visited, but the upstairs restaurant stood out with its welcoming and attentive staff.
The campsite also has a lovely spa and wellness area with an indoor pool, available for an additional fee. A variety of spa treatments are offered as well. We booked massages during our stay. They were good, although nothing particularly memorable.
The campsite is great for families. It has a fantastic playground and a children’s club with staff who organise different activities for kids. Some of these activities are available for an additional charge.
The shared shower facilities were perfectly fine—clean and functional, although nothing particularly special. During our stay, we rented a private shower and toilet. This gave us access to one of two lockable family bathrooms located inside the women’s restroom. While the private bathroom itself was convenient, it was a little uncomfortable for my husband to have to walk through the women’s restroom to reach it, even though the family bathrooms were the first rooms by the entrance.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It is a great place for a family holiday and an excellent base for visiting Venice. We would happily return.
