The Résidence Les Chalets de l'Arvan II is located at the entrance to the village resort of Saint Sorlin d'Arves, close to the centre and shops. This luxury residence is made up of wooden chalets set in magnificent mountain surroundings. For wellness holidays in Savoie, the residence has a heated outdoor swimming pool. For children (aged 4 to 11), there is entertainment on offer. For mountain lovers, the residence organises guided hikes to discover the natural beauty of Saint Sorlin d'Arves (2 half-days per holiday in July and August).

Around Saint Sorlin d'Arves, you can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities: hiking, mountain biking, cycling, quad biking, paragliding, archery, tennis, donkey trekking, adventure trails, horse riding... On the discovery side, you can visit the Arvan-Villard Massif, the route of the 5 Great Alpine Passes (Croix de Fer, Glandon, Télégraphe, Galibier, Lautaret), the route of the 3 Great Dams, the Chemins du Baroque circuit, a cheese factory or the Saint Sorlin d'Arves Museum.

The Chalets de l'Arvan II residence offers flats in 20 majestic wooded chalets. Each chalet comprises 2 or 4 flats. You'll be welcomed in ideal conditions, with the cosy mountain atmosphere we love during the winter holidays.

What's more, your flats are fully equipped to provide you with all the facilities you need. Each flat comes with a kitchenette (microwave, dishwasher), a bathroom or shower, and a separate toilet. You will also have free access to television and Wi-Fi at reception. Your accommodation has a balcony for those who want to take a deep breath of fresh air and enjoy the sunshine.

2 6-person flats are equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility (bay windows opening onto car park).

I liked:
The geographical location of our accommodation.
The quietness of the residence and the perfect soundproofing with the adjoining flats.

I did not like:
1) More than 1 hour of waiting at the reception to get the keys of our accommodation (outside, luckily the weather was relatively nice). The room was not big enough to welcome all the people arriving...
2) The ONLY member of staff at reception who does the best she can, to manage the arrivals, the distribution of bed linen (sheets and undersheets to be counted according to the number of beds in each accommodation). Couldn't these packages already be installed in the rentals as is done elsewhere?
3) Insufficient crockery for a family of 8 people (only 1 oven dish).
4) And the icing on the cake > no more access to the swimming pool for the ARVAN II chalets! Although we had booked precisely for this service

Good small shops in the village and all very welcoming

I did not like:
the cleanliness: dirty dishes, dust on the beds, hob and microwave not cleaned, bottles on the terrace ...

The main room lacks a bit of lighting "power".

The Odalys brochure said "swimming pool" with a picture of an indoor pool: in fact it's outside and closed in winter

A bit of a walk from the slopes, and a crowded shuttle bus. We ended up taking the car every day
