We were there out of season; we had no complaints about this campsite. The accommodation was clean and in good condition. We were a good three hours late arriving, but the staff were kind enough to ring us to help sort out our arrival.

It isn’t always easy to find leisure activities for children on holiday, and they don’t always enjoy the outings designed for older people. You’ll never be short of ideas, with a range of activities available within the grounds of the Les Dunes Residential Outdoor Resort. We had a very pleasant stay at this campsite. It’s clean, quiet and exactly as described online. We particularly enjoyed the setting and the peace and quiet, especially as we visited in September. One small suggestion, however: do give a bit more thought to holidaymakers in September, who aren’t necessarily the ‘July crowd’ 😊. At that time of year, there were unfortunately no activities left, and we weren’t even aware that the refreshment bar was open – we only discovered it on our last day! A few simple activities, such as a pétanque competition, a friendly drinks reception or an occasional event, would help to keep the campsite alive in September and encourage holidaymakers to socialise. All in all, it was still a very good experience, and we have fond memories of our stay!

No more washing up, as having only six place settings means we have to run the dishwasher twice a day, which is neither economical nor environmentally friendly

3rd Visit

Our 3rd visit and impressed with the new eco friendly cabins. We love the site as we can walk to the beach or relax by the pool. Supermarkets nearby. I think that the restaurant has gone down a little since our first visit in 2019.

We were staying nearby and wanted a takeaway pizza for our final night. We ordered and were told it would be an hour wait. We came back after an hour and ended up waiting another 40minutes whilst we watched them make our food - no idea what they’d been doing in the previous hour! Prices were reasonable,...

Truly appalling facilities. Avoid camping here

13 August 2018 at 07:10:57

So sad to witness the demise of a campsite in a beautiful spot with an amazing beach. We returned here for 2 nights - en route from Biarritz - after having stayed 4 or 5 times in the past.
Bathroom facilities truly abysmal.
Loos were filthy. No loo paper or soap. Intermittent hot water in showers. Shower...

We have visited this site for the last 10 years, over the winter the site was bought by mega holiday company Odalys. It was great to see a number of improvements and general tidying up of the site. This meant the loss of some camping pitches and a mass replacement of the site's own caravans.
