When I booked through camping.com, it said the swimming pool closed at 8 pm and the gate at 11 pm. Once I got there, however, they closed at 7.30 pm and 10 pm respectively – which is far too early, given that the bar and entertainment activities didn’t finish until 11 pm. The campsite was impeccably maintained; the toilet blocks were thoroughly cleaned frequently and there was nothing left lying about on the campsite. The prices at the bar were very reasonable. As for the pitch itself, it was excellent – no complaints there. However, we were not told that there was a railway line running past, so there were trains from morning until evening, which wasn’t exactly peaceful. The fridge hire was very reasonable, but the fridge we were given was well past its best. Swimming shorts were banned in the pool, whilst burkinis were allowed, and some people were wearing swimming shorts; the same went for swimming balls – I was told, ‘Madam, swimming balls are not allowed in the pool’, yet I went in and saw three of them, so the rules aren’t applied fairly or consistently. LDL and Super U are just 100 metres from the campsite, which is very handy. I’d still stay at this campsite again, but I’ll let them know I’m coming.
