Hello,
This is our third stay here and certainly the one that has fallen short of our expectations the most.🌄🌅🌞🌞🌞🌡🌡🌡🌡
Not because of the staff, who are always very friendly, nor because of the campsite itself – it’s simply because I chose the mobile home very poorly!
No. 34 is in a poor location🌡🌡 (for us): there’s no shade, especially during hot spells; it doesn’t benefit from the shade of the trees and faces west, so in the heatwave it’s difficult to enjoy the terrace, even though it’s covered – a few blankets hung on a washing line served as makeshift shade. There’s no air conditioning in this mobile home, no fan and no parasol. The space is very cramped, but there were only two of us, not four, as the bunk bed area would have been far too hot for anyone to sleep in.
The kitchen table is far too big for such a small space.
We preferred the beach and a walk round the lake to get some fresh air.
Thank you for the welcome; we appreciated the kindness and the thoughtful touches we received. Next year, if we come back, we’ll choose a different mobile home – this one was really too small when you’re used to more space.
I enjoyed the reading area📚 and the new gym💪; we didn’t use the swimming pool but made the most of the huge sandy beach🏖 and the surrounding restaurants 🍽🧊🍷 – always excellent. The markets were always lovely, even in the morning heat.🌞
So, we love this campsite but not this mobile home, although I did appreciate being away from the other campers; with empty mobile homes all around us, I enjoyed the peace and quiet, waking up to birdsong.🐓.🐦‍⬛🦉🐦 The donkey in the meadow 🫏🫏. And I was very surprised by this heatwave so early in the season.🌡🌞🌞
We’ll be more careful next time when it comes to our choice of pitch. I don’t know if it’s possible, but letting the hedges🌳🌴🪴 grow taller would be a way to combat the heat during future heatwaves. The campsite encourages an eco-friendly 🤩 approach to our holidays: waste sorting and recycling (sorting bags provided), composting, washable sponges and dishcloths changed between each camper, and cleaning and washing-up products provided – it’s not a hassle and it’s a real bonus. Dogs are allowed and made to feel very welcome.🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩

We pulled up around midnight. The owners came out to greet us and allowed us to pitch the tent.
It’s a very cute set up with an open bar. Tables and chairs are outside for food.
They served breakfast in the morning (baguettes, croissants, jam, butter, orange juice, coffee).
The bathrooms are shared....

Spent a wonderful week at this lovely campsite on a shady pitch overlooking a field. Clean toilet block, small snack bar. Easy access to a fantastic cycle path into town with great butchers, bakers, supermarket etc and coffee shops. Also cycling to Mimzan Plage and the nearby lake - all on superb cycle...

Wij genoten een ganse week met volle teugen van deze kleinschalige rustige camping. Heerlijke ontspannen vibe. De eigenaars hebben hier duidelijk hun hart en ziel in gestoken.
Supermooie staanplek met onze camper, mooi zwembad, alles super netjes…
