We love this area, so we decided to return for the 5th time! We probably had the best caravan we have ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable and the aircon was ice cold! Siblu have kept up the speedy check-in, which works really well. A new change is how you check out. You simply leave the key... in the key safe and leave! Brilliant! The site is well kept and the snack bar is superb. We did find that hardly any of the Siblu team spoke English, but we got by.
This site is 95% French holidaymakers, but we are fine with that. What I would say is that unlike other Siblu sites, the entertainment will not help to attract more english speaking guests. Maybe this is a conscious decision, who knows?
Overall, the entertainment is poor. Quite z few nights it is the kids from the kids clubs singing which may be great for the parents, not so great for everyone else! They had a singing duo on one night as the weekly professional act. They were really dull but musically very good. Not really for a holiday camp! Fortunately Valras live was on while we were there. They had free concerts that were much better than Siblu had to offer. My only other gripe is the insistence of not allowing traditional swimming shorts in the pool. Lycra shorts/trunks have to be worn. What a stupid rule! Don't tell me this is for hygiene purposes! If that was the case, they would make people wear swimming caps. One day, a larger guy was asked to leave the pool because of his shorts. Je argued with the security guard for a good 20 minutes. The chap was never going to win this argument. He then proceeded to point out other people who he thought their swimming trunks shouldn't be allowed too! This resulted in an older gentleman who did appear to have the right shorts on being asked to leave the pool, too! N man likes this rule. Other Siblus do not insist on it, so why this one?
Will we go back again? Who knows. However, we would recommend it to other people.
Very modern mobile homes with all the creature comforts Air Con, Full cooking facilities and French TV with HDMI.
Small shop on site but it has all the basics and more including beers and wines.
The pool is great and is not so deep maybe 1.2 metres so perfect for children. No Shoes or sandals are allowed... around the pool and Lycra is the preferred type of swimwear. Loose shorts are not permitted.
The restaurant and bar are located near the pool and there is a large open square with stage that hosts nightly entertainment shows. singing, dancing, live music and karaoke, lots of fun.
The food is good in the restaurant the pizza is fab and big enough for two children. There are burgers and kebabs also. There is a take away service from the restaurant but I found that service to be slow 45 mins plus and you have to go and ask about your order. That needs improving.
English on site is not great but the place has lots of French holidaymakers so it doesn’t have to be I suppose. If you have a little French you’ll be fine.
The site is located a short walk from Valras Plage a nice seaside town with shops and restaurants. The beach is divine and well worth a visit.
The site is well served by the Bus Line E from Beziers the “Cimiterie” Stop is quite literally outside the front gate. The Bus takes you to Serignan to the shopping centre or continue all the way to Beziers for a day trip. The fare is €1 each way.
Very nice place and well worth a visit.
It was such a good holiday, my favourite part was the bar staff expecially Jeremie. He was the best bar man ever , so friendly and welcoming . All bars should hire a jeremie . Will miss jeremie forever .
We were last here in 2018 as we love the location. We arrived on Saturday 20th August and we go home 3rd September.
First of all it would appear took all of the negative feedback about check-in on board. They now do speedy check-in where as long as you do everything asked on-line, you get the keys whilst... still in your car! Well done Siblu!
The only issue I have was that we had no sheets, no hairdryer and no chopping board. The sheets were sorted quickly ( I was entitled to them for free as it is our 3rd visit). Siblu supplied a new hairdryer and chopping board the next day. This should have been checked before we arrived. The request to check your identity has also gone. I guess the cost of the odd plate that may be broken by accident isn't worth upsetting customers at the start of their holiday. Well done Siblu! Before we arrived I couldn't work out howcthe holiday was £300 cheaper than what I was going to pay in 2020 if Covid hadn't happened. The size of the park soon explained it. The park must be 50% bigger than 2018! Also I would describe our 2 weeks here as being almost 2 different holidays..... First week the French school kids were still on holiday. The pool in the morning was fine. In the afternoon it was packed. And I mean it was like a tin of sardines in the pool (which is huge). So we went to the beach. The 2nd week was much better and we enjoyed it a lot more. I would also like to ask who decided to buy black sunbeds?! They were hotter than the sun itself! Bring back white ones!
We made use of the on site takeaway for Pizza. The cost was similar to what you would pay at a restaurant in town. But the convenience felt worth it. They were delivered to the caravan at the time they said they would be. The pizzas themselves were not to our taste. There was a mountain of cheese on each one and the base was too thick. Hey ho... May be just us.
The entertainment was still mostly in French. They have moved all of the entertainment down to near the main pool which is much better. They did have only 1 singer in the animation team who just so happened to be m English. She was a very good singer which did mean we knew all of the songs! One night they had a band on called Pulp Trio. They were amazing! The lady singer was frankly, incredible. All different types of music, new and old.
We have had a fabulous holiday in a location we love. What I would say is don't come unless you can book the location of your caravan. You could have a 20 minute walk to the pool or be stuck at the top of the park near to the noise of another caravan park. There is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes but that doesn't work for us.
11 of us Enjoyed a fabulous 2 week holiday here! Camp is spotless, mobile home was spotless and the staff are are so friendly and always have a smile for you! Lots to do close by and a lovely beach and town within a 5 - 10 walk of the camp.
Pool was really nice and warmer than i expected! Entertainment... team were fab as were the bar staff and kids club staff!
Even got to watch my beloved Liverpool FC at the bar which was a huge bonus!!
Highly recommended if you want a great family holiday in the sun, you won’t be disappointed.
Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday a special one
