Disappointing compared to last time

We’ve been using Siblu campsites for 12 years and this is the second time we’ve been to La Réserve. I will start by saying that the location is absolutely lovely and the pool is also great, very spacious and clean (although you’re not allowed inflatables, which is ridiculous).
However this time... has been the least positive experience, and a very different experience to when we came here 5 years ago.
I wasn’t overjoyed with the accommodation. It was meant to be one of the top spec caravans but it was quite dated. The covers on the sofa were really dirty when we arrived, we brought this up to reception who said somebody would come and give us some clean ones. Nobody did. There were also a lot of greasy marks on the walls of the caravan. In addition to speaking to the reception team, we also emailed siblu and nobody has responded.
Our family had 3 caravans on this trip, so we spent an awful lot of money and did not get the customer service to match this. In previous siblu holidays, somebody from the team used to come round on your arrival date to make sure everything was okay, it seems like this does not happen anymore. The staff in the shop aren’t very friendly, and neither are the lifeguards, however staff in the kids clubs are much better. Thankfully.
Another thing we noticed was the difference in entertainment. Previous siblu sites (including this one the last time we came) had somebody translating the entertainment into English, but this also seems like a thing of the past. We still went to watch the entertainment but our whole party, adults, teenagers and children were unable to join in as we had no idea what was being said.
This site has a majority of French holidaymakers, and there are very very little provisions for English holidaymakers. I’m not saying that Siblu should revolve their site around English travellers, but it would be nice if they could go back to the reasonable adjustments they made before and on other sites so we can at least try and join in on the fun.
I would go as far as to say that as a group of English families, we were made to feel quite unwelcome. It’s a real shame as one of our party came here to potentially buy a caravan, however after this experience they won’t be.
