Situated in the heart of the park surrounding Europe’s largest volcano (in the Cantal), on the hills above Vic-sur-Cère, La Pommeraie campsite welcomes you to a peaceful, shaded natural setting. Full of charm and on a cosy, intimate scale, it invites you to enjoy a truly relaxing family holiday. Throughout the season, you can enjoy its heated indoor swimming pool with a paddling pool for little ones, as well as its heated outdoor pool with two slides in July and August.

Several times a week in July and August, family entertainment is organised so you can enjoy quality time with your loved ones or friends. Pétanque enthusiasts can make use of the courts available, whilst the more sporty among you can let off steam with a game of tennis. From May to September, a programme of activities tailored to our guests and visitor numbers will be on offer every week.

As for facilities, you’ll find a grocery shop stocked with essentials and local produce, and a bar where you can enjoy a cocktail, an ice cream or a waffle for those with a sweet tooth. A snack bar and restaurant allows you to dine on site, with dishes available à la carte or to take away. A bread delivery service is also available every day at the bar.

I was really pleased with my stay in the Cantal region. However, I was very disappointed with the mobile home – there was no heating and no duvets, and there weren’t enough kitchen utensils either; the freezer was also far too small. On the other hand, the managers were very welcoming and the staff were very attentive and happy to chat. It’s a shame about the mobile home.

There’s no average rating for your questionnaire, so my answers are a bit more positive than they really are. In terms of the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation, it was a bit average. As for the welcome and atmosphere, it was really very good – no complaints at all. The location was also very good, as Vic is quite close to quite a few walking routes. So, overall, we were satisfied :)

We arrived during the first week of the season but due to late snows the facilities weren't really ready. However, we were given free access to one of the mobile homes for all usual facilities. The pitch we put the tent on was large, flat and gave us lovely views over the (rain soaked) mountains....
