This is the second time I’ve booked here – it’s a brilliant, peaceful seaside campsite. It’s a bit different from three years ago – there’s evening entertainment now. A really lovely stay.

From 08/07 to 02/09, you can enjoy a fun, sporty entertainment programme suitable for all generations. The entertainment team at Le Phare campsite awaits you with 5 daytime activities each week, as well as 3 evening entertainment events with games, shows and dances.

During your holidays at camping Le Phare d'Opale, your children aged 4 to 13 will be looked after at the mini-club, on half-days, from Monday to Friday. An incredible location thanks to the views and its proximity to the sea and the tides. The staff are really very friendly and always smiling, and the campsite is well secured. They just need to add some toilet facilities closer to the tents and a playground for the children. Very reasonable prices, and the chips are incredible.

The campsite is good for a 2-star establishment; it’s ideally situated near the beach and the town centre. As for the campsite’s facilities themselves, I’d say it’s missing a small football pitch for the children. And a slightly better-stocked grocery shop, separate from the bar, would be more suitable. That said, I’d happily go back!

We booked this last minute, booking is hard work as they like to keep you on hold for ages, then ask you to go online (this did not work)

When we got there a quick walk round the camp and it was obvious not a place to stay. It looks run down and pretty nasty.

Tried to cancel but no refunds given....

We booked through eurocamp and once again didn't get the caravan we had paid for. We paid for air con and got one without air con, without a hob kettle or a mop.

Reception staff told us that the site had been over booked, eurocamp claimed it was due to the caravan they planned to put us in needing remedial...

Booked this site after a lovely stay with my toddler and parents at the Tohapi site near Camiers earlier in the year. We couldn't get the accommodation in Camiers we wanted so thought we'd stay here as its so close to the channel tunnel and plenty of towns for a few days holiday.
Its not a very pretty...
