In the beautiful hinterland of the Charente region, just five minutes from the village of Saulgond, lies the Moulin du Pommier campsite. This mini-campsite is located in central France, near Limoges. Le Moulin du Pommier is a family-run establishment, ideal for families. It's a good campsite for relaxing in the middle of nature.
You can relax by the swimming pool, or perhaps you'd prefer to go fishing in the private lake. Plus, hiking trails pass a waterfall on the site. Tired of all the hiking and swimming? No problem, the campsite has a restaurant serving homemade dishes and weekly pizza nights. If you prefer to cook for yourself, a small store on the campsite with all your basic needs will do the trick.
For the more active, there's plenty to do in the surrounding area. There are several hiking and cycling routes to explore in the area. If you prefer to visit towns, there are plenty of those too. The historic city of Limoges, a 41-minute drive away, is a vibrant city with plenty to do. If you prefer something a little closer to home, the medieval town of Saint-Junien may be just what you're looking for. The impressive town of Oradour-sur-Glane is also well worth a visit. During the Second World War, virtually the entire village was destroyed in retaliation by the Germans. The village has remained unchanged since then.
