The Escullos de San José campsite is located in a natural park only 1000m from the beach. You can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool in the shade of the canopied beds and the jacuzzi.

All year round, the campsite offers family activities and entertainment. Children will participate in workshops adapted to their age. A multisport field is available for holidaymakers: padel, tennis, football.

During your stay, you can take advantage of the various services offered such as the mini-market or taste the Spanish specialities at the campsite restaurant.

At 38 kilometres from the campsite

From the A-7 Mediterranean Highway take exit 479 (NIJAR-SAN ISIDRO-SAN JOSE), continue for about 20km following the signs to San José, take the exit on the left towards Escullos-La Isleta-Rodalquiar. The establishment is located 3kms on the right.

I liked it:
We liked the pool and the entertainment offered.
We also liked the setting with the view of Cabo de Gata.
Very clean chalet.

I did not like:
Shame that Camping n°1 was not on site (language barrier).
We booked a 5 person chalet and got a 4 person chalet. Shame, we thought we had more room.

The cashier at the campsite supermarket was not very pleasant and not smiling and the evening entertainment was not very attractive

Basic and simplistic bungalow.

The bungalow (17) was small-ish, but decent. The only point of criticism is the lack of outlets, especially in the bedrooms. We had to unplug the coffee maker, the oven and the TV to be able to charge our devices simultaneously.

We came here to stay for just 2 nights and have decided to stay 2 months! It is heaven on earth. The place is immaculate, the staff are very friendly and helpful the facilities are wonderful. Gym, Sauna, Library, Supermarket, Bar, Walks. We have a campervan and stayed on a pitch there but decided to...

Had a nice quiet stay for two weeks. Together with a local guide traveled through the area and enjoyed historycal archaeology sites. Weather was amazing sunny the day cool the night , we had to wear a jumper.

While we didn’t stay here (we have a house in nearby San Jose), we did visit camping friends here on a few winter evenings (quiz night, music night with fish & chips) and really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

First time to a camping with friends very good experience nice staff clean, lot's of hot hot water AC good restaurants and shops will do this Next time 10"10 in summer the pool will be open but it looks good.
