In the town of Chaille-Les-Marais in the Vendée, in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, you will find the charming campsite L'île Cariot. This little corner of paradise opens its doors to you for an unforgettable stay with family or friends. You will be able to enjoy the heated swimming pool from June 15 to September 15.

Apart from its aquatic area, the campsite L'île Cariot invites you to many nature activities such as a walk on the canals of the Marais Poitevin, a hike or fishing. In the evenings, themed activities and evenings are organized to entertain the whole family. Various animations and activities are also planned for the little ones.

From the North, on the A83: towards Niort, take exit N°7 (La Rochelle, Ste Hermine, Luçon), continue on the D137 towards La Rochelle, go through Saint-Jean-de-Beugné, cross Sainte-Gemme-la-Plaine, go to Moreilles, at the exit of Chaillé-les-Marais, turn left towards the municipal stadium. My wife and six children and niece (yes, 9 of us children aged 15 -2) stayed here for three and half weeks commencing the middle of July 2021 in our jumbo sized tent and another dome tent on a second pitch. Very friendly campsite

This campsite is lovely and friendly with a welcoming atmosphere. The pitches are a good size lined with trees for some shade. There are some nice activities organised for children (and adults) during the week. We enjoyed the 'Lotto' and kids liked the team games! Moules, Frites night is also very popular!....

A great campsite, family-run, small and extremely clean. The ladies were really friendly and worked really hard to keep everywhere clean and functioning. The organised events were brilliant, the food equally so. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A very warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. Clean and tidy facilities with a wonderful bakery only a couple of hundred yards from the site. The site was quiet with guests being from many European countries.

We stopped here for one night in our campervan, en route to the south. We arrived around 8pm but rang ahead to check this would be OK and a very friendly chap who spoke good English assured us this would be fine.

When we arrived the check-in was very smooth and the cost of the pitch very reasonable....
