Camping Lido di Verbano enjoys an exceptional location in Castelletto sopra Ticino, Italy. It is located directly on the shores of the magnificent Lake Maggiore, in an unspoilt natural setting at the gateway to the Ticino Park. This privileged location gives you immediate access to a private beach on the lake, ideal for swimming and water sports. The surrounding area is full of major tourist attractions: the town ofArona (7 minutes away) with its fortress, the town of Stresa and its pier for the famous Borromean Islands (Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori) are only a short distance away. The campsite does not have a swimming pool, but the opportunity to cool off and have fun directly in Lake Maggiore is a major advantage.
The campsite is a favourite with active holidaymakers, thanks to its many sports and leisure facilities. There's a football/basketball pitch, a tennis court (for a fee) and a beach volleyball area on the beach. Gentle activities such as fitness and yoga classes are also available. For water lovers, there is a wakeboarding school on site and you can hire SUPs, kayaks and other water sports equipment.Entertainment is a strong point at Lido di Verbano: a programme of daytime entertainment and themed evenings are organised by the team (mainly in high season). Children aged 4 to 10 are welcome at the mini-club, with dedicated activities and the inevitable mini-disco in the evening (July and August).
For your comfort, Camping Lido di Verbano offers a wide range of services. There are several modern sanitary blocks with free hot showers, some of which are suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM). The campsite also has a laundry room (washing machines and tumble dryers available for a fee). For food and drink, there's a restaurant/bar-pizzeria serving typical Italian dishes and a beach bar for snacks. A takeaway service is also available in season. For boat owners, there is a private pontoon and slipway service. There is also a large shopping centre just 500 metres away for all your shopping needs.
