There's a lovely outdoor municipal swimming pool heated to 27°C at the foot of the campsite. The campsite gives you a free wristband to go there from June to August. Swimming shorts are strictly forbidden. However, there are other bodies of water on site and nearby.

Site in a lovely location adjacent to the River Varenne, within walking distance of Ambriéres Les Vallées.
There are many walking & cycling routes nearby, with access to both the Varenne & the Mayenne rivers. A curiosity nearby is the VeloRail, cycle rail cars on an old railway line.

Chalets overpriced & badly in need of maintenance

Booked 3-bedroom chalet for £660 for a week in July. Arrived to find swimming pool is not belonging to the site & men must wear trunks. Swimming shorts are not allowed. Issued with armbands on arrival - all our group were adults! Told no cars allowed beside chalet & time we must turn off our lights...

Arrived late and it was closed out of season, but on ringing they opened for us. We decided to go even after reading the negative feedback. Very friendly and accommodating staff and people and great, up to date facilities including hot showers! We loved parking our camper near to the beautiful lake....

Very basic facilities and too few for size of campsite, can't imagine what it would be like in high season. Mainly cold showers, only 2 showers each, male and female. Missing shower curtains. Out of order ladies toilet, leaving women to use men's toilet. No obvious grey waste point. Motor home grey...

Stayed in a chalet 1st week of June. I was surprised that you were not allowed to park your car next to the letting accommodation but had to use the car park nearby. The pitch was very shaded, unlike the camping emplacements which were very exposed and near to the river. Toilet blocks and shower facilities...
