This is the most wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend for a family holiday. The place is very relaxed and quiet, it's right next to a big nature reserve with spectacular views and lots of wildlife about.
The chalet we stayed in was finished very nicely inside with a lovely deck area outside... to have food or enjoy the sun and views. The pool area is great and very safe for kids. The bar, Le Spot, is perfect for a drink in the evening to watch the sunset over the salt marsh. You can order croissant and bread for each morning too.
Really near La Tranche sur Mer which is a lovely little town, great surf beaches near by. Great food too.
The Bellevue couldn't be better, we're sad to leave and can't wait to come back.
We spent a fantastic two week break here in August last year. The site is beautiful (spotless) the views spectacular and the accommodation lovely. There was everything we needed for what proved to be a lovely holiday for us all.
The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful and to to... it off there was a really charming bar. All felt very safe for the children.
Lived up to its name and more!
Great location, very friendly staff, we enjoyed the nice swimming pool, clean and cosy cottage with fully equipped kitchen, beautiful views from the terrace (we had a cosy cottage with sea view). Cosy central terrace by the bar and we enjoyed the live concerts in the evening.
One small suggestion would... be to introduce some clear rules that after a certain time people should try to be quiet as some people may not appreciate shouting children after midnight :-).
Wonderful, friendly small holiday village in an incredible location over looking the nature reserve and beach.
We stayed in one of the cabins with terraces over looking the reserve (these are called cosy cottages on the Bellevue website) and it was terrific. Spacious private terrace and modern facilities... in the cabin. Worth paying for one these for the best experience of this campsite.
Lovely laid back bar that hosted low key live music and a disco a couple of nights a week and was definitely a great place to end the day.
Kids were kept entertained with surf lessons at the nearby La Terriere beach, a very nice pool, table football, table tennis, a small playground area and a couple of impromptu football matches between all the children on the campsite.
If you are looking for an extremely friendly, small and laid back holiday village/campsite with easy access to lots of other things to do, (day trip to Ile De Re, O’Glis water park, cycling, nearby beaches, surfing) then Bellevue is fantastic.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful as well as professional and efficient and speaking English as well as French. Accommodation is very clean and well-equipped our chalet was comfortable and provided all that we required and a comfortable and quiet night's sleep. A shaded/sheltered outdoor... table and chairs as well as adequate indoor provision. Close proximity to a nature reserve means a gentle sandy walk in either direction to the uncrowded beaches which gives beautiful views as you make your way. A free local bus service also stops regularly outside the camp. The pool is beautifully maintained and perfect for all the family.
