In my opinion, the mobile home was rather cramped, and having to pay 25 euros a week for Wi-Fi is too much.

We had a lovely stay at La Pointe du Médoc campsite. The welcome was really warm, with a friendly team, and the campsite is generally well maintained, apart from around some of the mobile homes. There are, however, a few small areas that could be improved. In particular, there aren’t enough bin bins in the paths, which means you have to walk across a good bit of the campsite to dispose of your dog’s waste. The swimming pool also looked much bigger in the photos. It’s still pleasant, but it’s actually quite small when the campsite is full. It’s also a shame that some parents with very young children don’t really respect the paddling pool area set aside for them: you sometimes find yourself in the main pool with lots of toddlers, which takes away some of the peace and quiet of the area. Another drawback is the ban on swimming shorts, which can be quite restrictive for some holidaymakers. The campsite is also quite isolated, which is worth bearing in mind before booking. On the other hand, the snack bar was a major disappointment: high prices for truly mediocre quality and, above all, interminable waiting times. A 1 hour 10 minute wait for a pizza and about 40 minutes for chicken wings, even though we were the only customers, is frankly excessive. Furthermore, the manager’s welcome was neither particularly friendly nor businesslike. The same goes for the drinks: asking for a panaché and being served Schweppes instead because there was no lemonade – with no real alternative – is not really satisfactory. All in all, the snack bar’s value for money clearly needs improving. Despite these few negative points, we had a good holiday and, on the whole, we’re satisfied with our stay.
