A very pleasant place, despite a somewhat disappointing human experience

We recently stayed at this campsite, which has an undeniably charming setting: calm, nature and relaxation. The manager was warm, welcoming and very friendly, which we particularly appreciated.

Unfortunately, our stay was marred by our interaction with the co-manager. His attitude, perceived as authoritarian and intrusive, created a tense atmosphere which did not correspond to the relaxed spirit we had hoped for in a family campsite. From the moment we arrived, his remarks seemed condescending and focused on financial considerations, which sometimes gave the impression of a lack of listening or understanding.

A misunderstanding - which we tried to defuse calmly and respectfully - degenerated in a surprising way. Despite our desire to calm the situation, we were publicly reprimanded, in a tone that we felt was disproportionate. The situation was all the more shocking in that it was accompanied by unjustified threats and exclusion from a campsite activity, which we felt was a form of infantilizing punishment.

We would like to make it clear that we have always been respectful of places, people and rules, as our past experience in other accommodation shows. What is accepted elsewhere may not be so here, and we would have appreciated it if the specific rules had been communicated clearly, rather than being discovered at the time, at the risk of generating misunderstandings (in our case, it was simply a question of having moved a table in the shade, on the tarmac, with care).

To sum up, despite a venue that has everything going for it, the lack of serenity in the discussions marred our experience. And that's a shame. We sincerely hope that this feedback, which is intended to be sympathetic, can help things evolve in a more harmonious direction, because the potential is really there.
