A well-located campsite near the cycle path, with friendly and attentive staff; a peaceful setting; the site and chalet are kept clean; the spa pool and jacuzzi are very pleasant; and the food is excellent

Swimming pools too small, no safety ramp to get into them, tiny rooms in the premium bungalows – you can’t even pass each other – and hardly any storage space. Lack of supervision at the swimming pools: they let people with their shoes on inside the pool area dive in, huge rubber rings: try swimming in those conditions.
Very expensive restaurant with nothing special about the setting.
Attentive and polite staff. Out of our 7-day stay, we had no hot water for 3 days and the dishwasher broke down twice. Very poor internet connection, even though we’d paid for a 6-day package.

Great family site with a fantastic animation team, but some peak-season issues

10 September 2026 at 17:42:38

We had a lovely stay overall and would come back. The biggest highlight was the animation team, led by Antonie and Anja. They and their colleagues genuinely go above and beyond, with a great range of activities for both children and adults. We didn't use the kids' club ourselves, but heard consistently...

Just not our cup of tea

3 September 2026 at 09:55:43

A mixed review on this holiday park. We chose to come here to meet up with family so it's not our usual kind of holiday and we were disappointed about the lack of privacy from the chalet - every window looks onto another property so we felt like we had to keep blinds / curtains shut. Whilst the chalet...

We have been staying at Domaine de Massereau for 14 years and it has always been one of our favourite campsites. This is the first time I have not given a 5* review. The staff and restaurant absolutely deserve 5 stars, in fact the service in the restaurant this year has improved on recent years (an especial...

Excellent holiday, lovely relaxing site

4 August 2026 at 09:48:00

Reading reviews it's more personal opinion to what people expect rather than a campsite. There was 7 of us, grandparents, parents and 3 older teen girls. Had an immaculate ultimate plus, with outdoor kitchen and an OVEN. It was like new. The site is small, clean and very laid back even in the last weeks...

Now an average site

Massereau has changed a lot over the last few years. It was once an intimate 5-star site that holidaymakers and caravanners alike booked years in advance. Yes, it’s still a 5-star in name, but it’s nowhere near what it used to be as a site.

Some things remain fantastic — the restaurant, for one,...
