The Domaine De L'Epinette campsite is situated in Châtillon in the Jura. This 4-star site offers the perfect setting for a holiday that will leave you with a head full of memories. Swimming enthusiasts can take a dip – during the summer months only – in the heated outdoor pool.

The campsite’s various services and facilities are among its key highlights and will make your stay even more enjoyable. The site offers barbecue hire, a range of TV channels and Wi-Fi access, as well as a bread delivery service. With a grocery shop/mini-market as well as catering facilities (a bar and a snack bar) on site, you won’t have to go far to get something to eat.

The whole family can enjoy the 170m² outdoor swimming pool, a 40m² paddling pool and two water slides. You can also enjoy private access to the River Ain for a dip in the river. Open from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm every day. The full rules and regulations are displayed at the entrance to the swimming pool. Swimming trunks or boxer shorts must be worn. For hygiene reasons, the wearing of long johns, T-shirts or any kind of wetsuit is prohibited. Young children must wear nappies designed specifically for swimming, in accordance with hygiene standards. Children who cannot swim MUST wear armbands. Children must be accompanied by an adult; certain water slides have specific conditions of use. The campsite may occasionally have to close a water slide or swimming pool in the event of unforeseen technical problems that could compromise safety or hygiene.

A very well-maintained campsite with plenty of greenery all around and plenty of space between each accommodation unit. The mobile homes are very well laid out and equipped; nothing is missing. The staff are very friendly, always keen to ensure you’re completely satisfied and genuinely helpful. The on-site catering offers a varied menu and is of good quality. The bread and pastries on offer are a real bonus, and the campsite’s mini-market comes in handy when you need it. The campsite is well situated for walks; there are shops nearby, but the hypermarkets are a bit further away (a 20–30-minute drive). On the other hand, access to the river doesn’t include a proper private beach (there is one on the opposite bank, which is a shame!) and the swimming pool liner was never cleaned, which isn’t exactly ideal, even though the bathing water remains of good quality. Some background music would be welcome by the pool, and a hot tub would surely be appreciated too. We enjoyed our stay, in any case. I’ll definitely recommend this establishment.

All the mobile homes should be fitted with air conditioning – it was really far too hot. As we booked at the last minute, we couldn’t get a mobile home with air conditioning… so the swimming pool was overrun, far too many people…lots of children jumping in… no sun loungers left… The terrace of our mobile home also had no sun loungers, no garden table… or chairs… we had to make do… a shame. The price is still high… for not having these facilities....
