Administrative difficulties and very unhelpful staff: to avoid!

We booked a C-emplacement for a three night stay at the camping. Already before we arrived, difficulties arose: we were requested an extra fee due to a compulsory upgrade (we could not have a C-emplacement because we had a car) ... but the "holiday-assistant" gave me no possibility to pay via the website... as we did for the main reservation and no banking detail! We had to look for it ourselves on the internet, which took quite some time. We eventually found it and paid the requested 24€ by e-banking within two days.
As we checked-in, we were said the camping had not received confirmation of this extra fee and that it was absolutely necessary to its administration. Faced with the lack of understanding and cooperation of the staff, we had to figure out a solution ourselves. We proposed to pay (again!) these 24€ cash and be reimbursed when they would receive the confirmation, but the staff refused. We paid a 24-hours wifi connection (although it was holiday and we wanted to be offline) to try getting a confirmation via our e-banking account but, for banking security reasons, we couldn't access the necessary information. We then called the bank hotline, which causes us a lot of roaming costs. Again, for security reasons, the bank assistant couldn't fax the confirmation itself but we convinced her to fax the confirmation that my bank had released the amount to the camping Capo d'Orso. The camping staff told me then that the fax was broken...but they didn't propose any solution! They could easily have phoned their parent company or their bank to get the payment confirmation, but instead they kept our identity cards and refused to let us check out before having seen this confirmation. We negotiated with the bank assistant who eventually agreed to send a confirmation email that I had paid these 24€...which the camping team eventually received and let me do the ckeck-out.
IN THE END, we spent a lot of time trying to work this issue out, despite the lack of help and cooperation of the staff, and we spent quite a lot of money to prove the payment of 24 € that we had already paid! We dont'understand why they are willing to annoy their clients for such a small amount ...
Back home, I wrote an email to the camping to give them an opportunity to react in a more civilised/client-friendly way. They answered they could not understand my message! We recommend to avoid the place.
