Situated in the heart of the Arcachon Basin, Camping La Hume enjoys a privileged location in Gujan-Mestras, the oyster-farming capital with its seven ports. Just a short stroll from the campsite, you can enjoy the La Hume beach, ideal for families thanks to its calm waters and lifeguard surveillance in season, as well as the coastal path for wonderful walks or bike rides. Entertainment lovers will appreciate the immediate proximity of the Gujan-Mestras leisure complex, which includes Aqualand, Kid Parc and La Coccinelle. Please note that the campsite does not have its own swimming pool or water park, but the nearby supervised beach and water parks are perfect for swimming.
When it comes to on-site leisure activities, the campsite offers simple, family-friendly facilities, including a children's play area and a pétanque court, a must for all those who want to share a good time together. The campsite has opted for peace and quiet: there is no group entertainment, organised evenings or kids' club. This allows holidaymakers to recharge their batteries in a relaxing setting. For more intense sporting activities, there are plenty of options in the immediate vicinity, such as cycle paths linking the entire basin, kitesurfing schools, an 18-hole golf course, as well as sailing and paddle clubs.
In terms of services and accommodation, the campsite offers traditional pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as comfortable, fully-equipped mobile homes for rent. To make your stay easier, you'll find well-kept toilet blocks with disabled access, a Wi-Fi connection (subject to the campsite's terms and conditions) and a launderette. For your meals and snacks, the direct proximity of the centre of La Hume and its shops, the SNCF train station and the oyster huts in the harbour mean you can eat easily and sample the famous local oysters without having to take your car.

Cars are not allowed to park on the campsite, but a collective private parking is available.
By car
From Bordeaux A63 then A50 towards Arcachon. Take the La Hume (Aqualand) exit. At the roundabout with the Tourist Office and Post Office, turn right and continue straight ahead along Avenue de la Plage, crossing the railway line. At the Bistro 50 restaurant, turn right into the allée de l'Infante. Follow the signs for "Camping ATC Routes du... Monde".
Train
La Hume station 400 m away on the Bordeaux / Arcachon line. Cross the tracks, go down towards the housing estate and walk alongside the port (without crossing it). At the end, turn right into Avenue de la Plage. At the Bistro 50 restaurant, turn right into the allée de l'Infante.
