A decent site in a good location

We stayed for a couple of weeks with the Camping and Caravanning Rally which is small, well run, and with plenty of things to do. The stewards, Howard and Kath, are friendly and welcoming and organise loads of events. They'd good local knowledge for leading walks and cycle rides and recommending... places to visit, or to eat etc. Other ralliers where great company and keen to join in everything that was going on. Overall, a lovely rally.
The site is clean, tidy and well maintained. Pitches are decent size but you need a large rather than a standard if you've a big caravan and awning and still want space for your car and some relaxing room. Water and grey waste to pitches makes life easier and the good electric supply was reliable. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss sometimes but it's free and it mostly worked well. Beautiful views but a bit of noise from surrounding small holdings and the industrial plant, although never really bad. Outdoor pool is nice to look at and a good place to sunbathe if you've a shady pitch, it's too cold for swimming though, in late November.
Bar was small but decent, with a happy hour every weekday. The pool side terrace was lovely on a sunny day and, at the other side, there are nice views to the SW on a sunny evening, if you ignore the road and car park :-) We only ate a full meal there once, with the rally, Fish & Chips which was OK. A portion of chips with a lunchtime beer was pretty good.
One toilet block plus a couple of toilets / showers by the pool. Toilets are fine, but in a separate room from the showers. Showers struggled to supply enough hot water when they were really busy and the temperature seemed to fluctuate quite a lot. Hot water went off completely one day, but they fixed it and it was better after that. It was all kept pretty clean but the showers steamed up as soon as one person used them.
The town of Villajoyosa is great and it's only a 15 minute walk to the sea front. There are supermarkets, a weekly market and a great sea front prom of around 3 miles. There's loads of bars and restaurants, mostly very good. There's easy access to Benidorm if you want more in the way of shopping or night life.
