Lively, family-friendly site

Our family spent 6 nights at Portofelice in August, and it was an enjoyable experience. We opted for the shuttle bus from the airport, which was convenient and brought us directly to the site. The site itself was pleasant, especially due to its proximity to the beach. We chose one of Eurocamp's 3-bedroom... Azures, and it was clean and tidy with all the essentials. The air conditioning was a nice addition, and it helped to keep mosquitoes away when we kept the doors and windows closed.
The swimming pool was a highlight, mainly because of the slides. We had pre-booked sunbeds online, but it seemed unnecessary as there were plenty available when we were there. There were also free spots to lay down your towel if you preferred. It's worth noting that the slides take a break between 1pm and 3pm for siesta, although the pool remains open during that time.
We dined at the on-site restaurant multiple times, and they offered a good selection of dishes at affordable prices. The staff there were friendly and welcoming. The supermarket had most of the things we needed and was not overly expensive.
The staff at the resort, including the animation team, were friendly and helpful. Our kids enjoyed the mini discos every night, particularly the foam party. There were various sporting activities throughout the day and the kids mini club, though we didn't use this.
We booked a day trip to Venice through the reception, which cost around €130 for the five of us, including boat travel around Venice. It was a nice experience though Venice is incredibly busy in the summer so I'd recommend getting away from the main tourist hot spots and off the beaten track a bit.
All in all, our time at Portofelice was great, and we would recommend it to others.
