The positives.
Campsite is nice and clean. The pitches are of an excellent size. The toilets and washing facilities are basic but do the job.
The swimming pool is excellent, plenty of beds and the pool is lovely and warm. However, like other reviewers have said the lifeguards pay little attention to... what is going on and spend too much time talking to other teenagers. Or staring at their mobile phone.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The on-site shop is good and stocks most things you need.
The restaurant looks good but we didn’t eat there.
There is a Spar shop about 5 minutes walk away which has everything you would need. Freshly cooked chickens and a bakery. Lots of fruit and veg and an excellent selection of wines.
The beach is about a 10 minute walk and is a good beach. Lots of little restaurants there.
Negatives.
Now onto the night timer experience. The loud music starts at 8.30pm, they continue to play the worst repetitive music until around 11.30pm.
It completely over powers everything over the campsite, rendering all family conversation around the camp table impossible. We were not able to enjoy our own quietly played music as we would have had to switched it to full volume to hear it properly. I would feel this would be rude of us, just like the animation teams music is rude.
If that wasn’t enough, teenagers run feral around the campsite partying until the early hours (4am). Cars are in and out of the campsite throughout the night. All of this makes for a very unpleasant time, at a time you should be relaxing or sleeping.
Thank god our children are old enough at 8 and 10 to stay up later and wait for the music to finish. If they had been younger this would have been a nightmare trying to get them to go to sleep.
I think the campsite could be fantastic if the night time issues were dealt with. During the day we very much enjoyed our stay.
