Pleasant stay, but pricey for self-catering in a mobile home

We are just back from a week's stay in Amadria Park Camping Trogir.
There are some really good things about this site - it's only 15 mins from the airport, it is right on the sea, which is lovely and clear to swim in. We stayed in a standard mobile home which was great for a family of 4 - very clean,... and has two separate shower rooms. Beds were comfy and were ready made up. We had an abundance of towels which were replaced twice during our stay, as well as the bins being emptied and toilet rolls replaced (we travelled with Jet2). We were right by the onsite supermarket, and the walk to the pool and beach is short (it is down a steep hill, but not far). Fresh pastries available in the supermarket every morning. The local town of Seget Vranjica is a relatively short walk. There is a slightly larger supermarket there and a few nice restaurants. There is also a small beach area which was nice to go to for a day for a change of scene (and cheaper sunbed hire).
The downsides were that the mobile homes are very close together - so much so that some nights I lay in bed listening to entire loud conversations of the neighbours for hours. There is no oven in the home and no toaster, so cooking options were limited. No bbq either and none available to buy (we flew rather than drove). The supermarket had very limited stock of things to cook - plenty of snacks, but nothing to really make a meal with - unless you wanted frozen chicken and chips, which is tricky with no cooker. Cheapest vaguely decent bottle of wine in the supermarket 20 euros.
The restaurants on site are very expensive. 35 euros for a steak (which was excellent in fairness) and 44 euros for a bottle of wine. 13 euros for a child's small bowl of pasta with tomato sauce. The other restaurant stocked pizza and pasta only, so we didn't go as my husband doesn't eat cheese. There is also a "burger van" - 15 euro for a burger chips and juice. 10 euros if you want the burger on its own. There were no other options on site (eg a small snack bar to buy a sandwich etc). We ended up eating in Seget Vranjica which was quite a bit cheaper (but still expensive compared to Croatia prices of a few years ago, which is presumably due to the euro). We also ate in Trogir once, which was similarly priced (there are a good range of restaurants there).
The beach is shingle and not sand. I personally didn't mind this, but take swim shoes with you. They do sell them there, but pricey. I forgot to pack my husband's swim shorts for the holiday - they don't sell men's swim shorts anywhere on site so we had to go to Trogir to get some. The beach gets very packed. Its 10euros a day if you want to use a sunbed and 35euros for a cabana, so most people just take camping mats and sit on those, but you can end up very close to your neighbours.
There is a big inflatable obstacle course in the sea which is fun - 15 euros for one hour, but that's plenty of time. There is also a boat that goes to Trogir which is really useful - however no prices are advertised anywhere, so you pay what you are told once you are onboard and halfway there. We paid 12 euros for 4 of us on the way there, but 20 on the way back.
The pool is very small, with limited sunbeds. We only went twice and got beds each time as people don't seem to spend all day there, but it's very small for the size of the site.
Finally, everyone seems to smoke in Croatia - on the beach, in restaurants, in their mobile homes. Obviously that's in keeping with the laws of the country, but it was really noticeable and quite unpleasant.
On the whole, a nice site to visit with the family, close to airport and Trogir, but very expensive. Overall, given the total cost of the holiday and what we spent, I felt that we could have gone somewhere quite a bit more luxurious and probably AI, rather than being in a mobile home and self-catering.
