The town was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1984. Known as the Spanish Versailles, in 1561 the King Philip II declared it Royal Site and it became the Royal Family spring residence. Its gardens, the Royal Palace, the Flowerbed, the King’s Gardens and the Prince’s Gardens are one of the most interesting green areas in Europe. The Aranjuez Casino, the restaurants and bars are the main attraction of one of the most important cultural and historical cities of Spain.
